SOLD $750.00 Sold: Apr 15, 2025 on eBayOriginal Listing Description
Original One of a Kind Peanuts Film Gallery Original Artwork Snoopy/Joe Cool, Charlie Brown Cel from Bill Melendez Productions is up for Sale. Cel comes with the duel photos in a single frame with the authentication stickers on the front and certificate of authenticity on verso as shown. This original artwork accompanied by the COA was created by the artists at Bill Malendez productions, in association with Lee Mendelson Productions, and the creator of Peanuts, Charles M. Schultz. This cel set-up was used in the production of the animated show titled "There's No Time For Love, Charlie Brown", which original air date was 3/11/73 and was scene #45 1/2. It bears the seal of authenticity establishing it as such. The hand-painted cel was transferred from an animator's drawing and is one of a kind. The background is a color laser reproduction of the original. The scene depicted in the cel is Joe Cool bothering Violet Gray in the desk in front of her, at which point Violet promptly turns around and smacks Joe Cool silly. It is a cool scene, because while Violet was initially a primary character when first introduced in 1951, by this point she was a background character that rarely appeared in episodes so was neat for her to appear for this speechless scene. The last picture is a screen shot of the scene from the show to bring to life what it looked like when completed. This is a very cool piece, frame measures roughly 33" x 18" and comes exactly as seen so please review all photos and ask any questions before buying. (Condition: Pre-Owned)
Note: This item has been sold and is no longer available. This page serves as a historical price reference for Peanuts collectors and appraisers.
